What is Hybridge?
HYBRIDGE is a dental prosthesis that resembles dentures or a dental bridge and is anchored to the jawbone with dental implants.Strong and secure, Hybridge permanently replaces multiple teeth that have fallen out or been extracted because of dental disease, decay or a traumatic injury. Hybridge restores the look, feel and function of natural, healthy teeth.
Our office is pleased to offer Hybridge to patients who are missing an entire upper and/or lower set of teeth. We have a reputation for using the most effective and state-of-the-art dental technology and Hybridge naturally fits into our suite of innovative treatment options. The Hybridge prosthesis is crafted from durable materials and looks exceptionally life-like. Depending on a patient’s unique needs, the duration of treatment can take less time than other tooth replacement options.
The Reasonable Cost of Dentures
One of the advantages of dentures is that they are a cost-effective way to replace multiple teeth at the same time. Repeatedly replacing one or two teeth can be costly, but the cost of dentures is a practical expense because the prosthesis replaces an entire set of upper or lower teeth at one fixed cost.
Hybridge replaces up to 12 teeth simultaneously, at a reasonable cost. Dr.Aguila would be happy to discuss Hybridge cost in greater detail at our Jacksonville, Florida dental practice.
The Security of a Bridge
Bridges are typically cemented into place permanently. This prevents the prosthesis from slipping or sliding around in the mouth. It allows a person who is missing teeth to speak, smile and chew confidently.
Hybridge is secured in the mouth by dental implants and is only removable by Dr. Aguila. It won’t become loose or uncomfortable, and it won’t irritate the gums.
The Jawbone Stimulation of Dental Implants
Dental implants prevent the deterioration of the jawbone and the devastating consequences. When a tooth falls out, the underlying jawbone can start to shrink from neglect. This can cause the facial features to look sunken or depressed or even start to collapse. The titanium post of the Hybridge implant acts as an artificial tooth root, and is placed into the jawbone. Normal chewing on the post keeps the jawbone stimulated and the facial structure intact.
Other Hybridge Advantages
Treatment time is significantly less than that of repeated dental implant surgeries to replace one or two teeth here and there.
Only qualified dentists and surgeons like Dr.Aguila are certified to use Hybridge.
Hybridge may be suitable for patients who do not qualify for treatment with conventional dental implants.
Hybridge utilizes the jawbone that patients already have.
Any Hybridge repairs are completed in a timely manner at the Hybridge Laboratory.
Hybridge should last for many years with the proper care and maintenance.
It’s recommended that Hybridge patients schedule professional cleanings every three to four months, and patients with a history of repeatedly grinding or clenching their teeth should seek more regular maintenance (as their appliance may wear more quickly).
